About Us

Captain Jordan Nason

Director

NC Coastal Reserve Advisory Committee Member, NHC Parks and Rec Advisory Committee Member

Husband and father of two, I love fishing, surfing, and the outdoors. I want to share my passion for fishing and the coast with my children and others. My goal is to create a business that makes a difference in kids' lives, where my children might work alongside me in the future.

Captain Shannon Pitts

Captain/Instructor

Captain Shannon is a USCG licensed fishing guide with 20 years of experience. He spent 10 years in Charleston, SC, as a red fishing guide, then returned to North Carolina. There, he has worked as a fishing guide and private chef from Topsail to Carolina Beach and Cape Fear. At Fish Camp, he has successfully helped many kids catch fish and enjoy the coastline. This past summer, he excelled at catching redfish.

Captain Weston Williams

Captain/Instructor

Weston grew up near Carolina Beach and Holden Beach, NC. He is a Licensed Captain and an airplane pilot, a devoted father, and a lifelong surfer and fisherman. Weston adds valuable experience and a positive attitude to the Fish Camp team.

Adam Jastrzebski

Instructor/First Mate

Adam is a retired Deputy Sheriff with a lifelong love for the outdoors. With years of service behind him, he now channels his energy into his greatest passions: fishing and family. Whether he's reeling in saltwater giants or enjoying the calm of a freshwater lake, Adam finds both adventure and peace on the water. His knowledge of fishing techniques and local waters is matched only by his enthusiasm to share stories and tips with fellow anglers. Adam is a proud husband and father and dedicated member of the fishing community, always ready to lend a hand and lead with heart.

Shea Tucker

Instructor/First Mate

Shea grew up in Channel Haven, close to Captain Jordan Nason. In summer 2024, he became First Mate on Jordan's crew. He now juggles his marine tech studies with fishing trips.

Ed Walser

Marine Biologist

Ed Walser grew up in Wilmington, spending his youth fishing and shrimping with his father.  Ed  received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Marine Biology in the 1980's. He worked in marine research for 10 years, doing shipboard zooplankton ecology research in the North Pacific and Gulf of Mexico. He spent his later career working with satellite imagery in oceanography, archaeology, disaster assistance, and defense.  Ed returned to WIlmington in 2017 and is (mostly) retired.
